Spelling words week 7

1. Absolutely

Definition: Without exception; completely; wholly; entirely.
Sentence: I am absolutely certain that period three is English.

2. Immediately

Definition: Without lapse of time; without delay; instantly; at once.
Sentence: He immediately walked over to the fence, so that the people in the car could not see him.

3. Necessarily

Definition: By or of necessity; as a matter of compulsion or requirement.
Sentence: She necessarily jumped out of the car.

4. Carefully

Definition: Cautious in one's actions.
Sentence: I carefully watch what I say, because I don’t want to hurt anyone.

5. Obstinately

Definition: Firmly or stubbornly adhering to one's purpose, opinion, etc.
Sentence: I obstinately hated her opinion.

6. Voluntarily

Definition: Done, made, brought about, undertaken, etc., of one's own accord or by free choice.
Sentence: The life savers voluntarily make the decision to patrol the beach in there free time.

7. Sensibly

Definition: Having, using, or showing good sense or sound judgment.
Sentence: I sensibly walked down the stairs.

8. Efficiently

Definition: Performing or functioning in the best possible manner with the least waste of time and effort; having and using requisite knowledge, skill, and industry; competent; capable.
Sentence: The girl doing high jump, preformed efficiently.

9. Frantically

Definition: Desperate or wild with excitement, passion, fear, pain, etc.; frenzied.
Sentence: I frantically screamed as loud as I would.

10. Optimistically

Definition: Disposed to take a favorable view of events or conditions and to expect the most favorable outcome.
Sentence: Optimistically I chose to go to the gold coast show instead of the ECCA.

11. Scientifically

Definition: Of or pertaining to science or the sciences.
Sentence: Scientifically, microbes are organisms that we can’t see.

12. Temporarily

Definition: Lasting, existing, serving, or effective for a time only; not permanent.
Sentence: I am temporarily having a break from my boyfriend.

13. Unbelievable

Definition: Too dubious or improbable to be believed:
Sentence: I think it is unbelievable how they cancelled dancing classes because they thought we were being inappropriate.

14. Irretrievable

Definition: Not retrievable; irrecoverable; irreparable.
Sentence: Millie’s post card was just irretrievable.

15. Inflammable

Definition: Capable of being set on fire.
Sentence: The stones were highly inflammable.

16. Charitable

Definition: Generous in donations or gifts to relieve the needs of indigent, ill, or helpless persons, or of animals.
Sentence: The wealthy people in the world are very charitable.

17. Irresistible

Definition: Not resistible; incapable of being resisted or withstood.
Sentence: The boy at the beach yesterday was irresistible.

18. Resignation

Definition: The act of resigning.
Sentence: Resignation is for people who have enough money to live for the rest of their life.
