Leonato

Leonato
Age: 65 years old
Role: Leonato's role is an old man, who is Hero's father. He plays the role of the governor of Messina and a father.
Relationship: He is Hero's father and Beatrice is his niece. Antonio is Leonato's brother. He is close with Claudio, and Don Pedro.

2. What themes the character helps to demonstrate and how they achieve this.

This character helps to demonstrate the leadership universal theme. Leonato is the governor of Messina. He makes all of the deicsions and is there to make sure all laws are followed and everything runs smoothly.

3. Relevant quotes and examples from the plot that are significant to this character, you should already have some from the previous exercise but you can continue to add to these. Be aware that you don't simply have to use quotes that the character says, you should also consider things others say about them. Make sure that you explain the quotes, don't just list quotes and rely on them to explain themselves.

The quote: "My lord, I am for you, though it cost me ten nights' watching." This quote says that he agrees with Pedro, that Benedick and Beatrice should get together, but it would take himself 10 nights wathcing to do so.
